The Western Manitoba Seniors Non-Profit Housing Co-op has now undertaken the second phase of housing for seniors located at 2105 Brandon Avenue in Brandon.
The Manitoba Government has committed to providing conditional funding of up to $65,000 per unit for a maximum of 48 units or more than $3.1 million. The City of Brandon will provide the property at 2105 Brandon Avenue at no cost. Construction is expected to begin this summer and be ready for its members in late 2017.
The building will consist of 60 suites – 21 one bedroom units, 27 two bedroom affordable and 12 market rent suites. Construction is expected to start in July of 2016 with expected completion in October of 2017.
